Alabany at Loyola (Men's Lacrosse)
Saturday 12 noon (EDT)
pick: under 28.5 goals (5 Dimes)

Loyola is a solid defensive team that won the title a few years ago (22, 19, 12 and 12 goals scored in their 4 wins to the championship). Loyola's tourney game with Duke reached 23 goals last year. In their games this year they combined with their opponent to score 13 twice and made it to 27 in the opener. They were all betwqeen 13 and 27 goals. Now they face the offense of Albany, who are led by the Thompsons (two brothers/one cousin).

Albany did play 19-14 (33 goals) in their tourney game last year with Denver. Their last few games in their own conference saw 32, 30, 28, 33 and 31 goals. They did play an OT game with Syracuse that reached 33 goals. However, their game with Bryant (23), Penn State (27), Johns Hopkins (21) and Canisius (23) fell below the total set for Saturday.

The other first round games (not including the play-in games) have over/unders set at 21.5, 20.5, 22.5, 22.5 and 20.5. I won't be shocked to see 30 goals but like our chances for an under in this early game set for Saturday 12 noon.

under 28.5 goals

Thanks, Steiner.

Albany wins 13-6 (19 goals).

5 Dimes was one of the few books with lacrosse lines and the o/u stayed at 28.5 all week.
